A Newport man and a woman were arrested Wednesday for possessing and selling, bronze markers. stolen from military graves in town. Justin Bennett, 26, and Marjorie Blaisdell, 31, were both, charged with the class B felony of unlawful possession or sale of gravestones and grave site items. Marijuana plants discovered in Newport

Newport Police were tipped to a possible marijuana plot and found 58 plants they estimate could have had a street value of about $90,000 if they had matured, been harvested and sold. Police said the plants they found were between three and four feet tall…
