Newport man sentenced to 15-30 years for manslaughter

David Carrier, 48, of Newport will spend up to 30 years in prison for running over his former friend Arthur Desilets of Claremont with a van last year. Carrier, who has been in a wheelchair since a 2007 car accident, turned himself in to police in April, 2012, after he ran over Desilets, 45, with his handicapped accessible van.
