Police say Charles Gibson, 62, of Newport tried to back his car up on I-89 in an attempt to ram a police cruiser. Belmont’s Evelyn Ellis-Haines, a fifth grader at Canterbury Elementary Elementary school organized a clothing drive designed at helping families facing homelessness this winter.
