Several towns aid Deering in battling Driftwood Island fire
On March 13th Deering Fire & Rescue were dispatched to a smoke investigation near the Deering Reservoir. Upon arrival at the town beach, a fully involved camp on Driftwood Island was visible. Access to the island was made from Zoski Road. Five boats arrived; one each from Deering, Hillsboro, Francestown, Henniker, and Weare.
